Gordon & Gordon Engineering provided expert witness and litigation support services for defendant’s counsel in a federal case involving a a fire caused by an air conditioner compressor motor malfunction during ground servicing onboard a jet at a mid-west airport.
Our expertise was used in a forensic engineering investigation into metallurgical corrosion losses. We concluded that the post accident corrosion was caused by a Purple K dry chemical fire extinguisher. The plane was then flown on a ferry flight to the northeast for removal of the residue. Submitted Rule 26 Expert Report and the case settled before deposition.
